Adwords-A Few Tips To Help You

There are certain strategies that need to be adopted to turn your campaigns around. A simple tweak here or there can pay dividends in the long run. Remember, adwords can be a beast to master but very rewarding when you get it right.

Increased Bids and Quality problems Do you constantly have to increase your bids due to googles quality issues? if this has happened you have been hit by the infamous google slap. This boils down to google wanting your landing page to be relevant to the keyword search term. This can easily be fixed by ensuring your landing page matches your Adwords ad. Try putting your keyword and ad text into the title of your landing page, this will ensure the user has found what he is looking for and will not click away from your site. Keyword density is also a factor. Try to include your keyword throughout your landing page text. A keyword density of around 3-5% is adequate to keep google happy.

keywords

Put your keywords into groups and adjust your landing page to include each different set of adwords. Run seperate campaign for each keyword group and ensure your landing page is relevant.

writing your Ad

You will need to have a killer ad that will attract clicks. Run a search on google for anything of your choice and look at the sponsored ads. Which ad stands out the most? Which ad are you drawn to? Try to emulate the way the ad has been written and test it in your campaign. if it converts keep it, if not change it. Adwords requires testing and tweaking all the time.

how to find those converting keywords

The best method requires you to do a little work. Type in one of your keywords into google and make a note of the URLs that are showing on page 1. Do this for 5-7 days with all your keywords. What you should have is a log of all the ads that have been showing for the majority or all of that timeframe. These are the ads that will be making money. Most adwords users will drop there campaign if it wasn`t profitable in this time frame. Try writing your ad in the same style(do not copy) and bid to a higher position than the profitable ad you have been monitoring. test if its profitable let it run, if not tweak or dump it.

These are just a few tips i have learned that make a difference to poor performing adwords campaigns.

Remember

Ensure your landing page is relevant to your keywords and adwords ad. Your landing page should be relevant to all your keywords. Don`t forget about keyword density 3-5% is good. Monitor your competition to find those converting keywords and Ads

There is much much more to google adwords than most people think. Learning the finer points will turn your losing campaigns into profitable ones. Do not get put off from using adwords, its just a question of understanding how it works.

Blogging for Cash - How to Make Money with Blogs

If you’re new to Internet Marketing, you may be confused at all the hype surrounding claims of money to be made. Just as in the days of the gold rush, rumors of great riches abound. But just where do you go to dig for gold and hopefully hit that rich pocket of profits? There are a great many avenues to pursue in search of online wealth and one of them is blogging.

Blogs, online journals of a sort, are more popular than ever right now. From political rantings to how-to tutorials on bread making, blog topics are as varied as the people who write them. Breaking news blogs are popular and have become a way for the average Joe to become involved in their local news and politics. Big news corporations have recognized the importance of blogging and a great many of their news reporters and even anchors have blogs.

But how do you make money by writing a blog?

People go about this in different ways, depending on how they want to make an income.

Your first step is to choose the subject matter for your blog. It’s an excellent idea to write on something you’re passionate about. Pick a topic that speaks to you. Nothing is more boring than reading something written by someone who clearly has no fire within them regarding the subject matter.

Next, set up an account with Google AdSense. AdSense is Google’s program that places ads on your website that are relevant to the content of your blog. These ads are generally unobtrusive and they allow you to monetize your blog quickly and easily.

It’s a free program and it relies on the pay-per-click and pay-per-impression advertising.

This is how it works: let’s say you are passionate about coin collecting. You’ve been hooked on it since your granny gave you a silver dollar when you were five. Since then you’ve become an avid collector. Numismatic aficionados are everywhere and it’s a profitable business. You decide to write a blog about coin collecting. It’s your hobby, your passion, you know a great deal about the subject and enjoy talking about it but you’d also like to make some money off your hobby. So you set up a blog about Numismatics on any number of free blogging platforms available on the Internet.

In order to get indexed by Google so you get visitors, you’ll have to post on your blog at least once a day and perhaps even more. The more visitors to your site, the better because each visitor is potential money in your pocket.

You set up a Google AdSense account and link it to your blog. Google will pick ads targeted to the people who visit your blog in order to entice them to click on the ads. You may see ads for rare coins, or free coin catalogs. Who can resist free? A visitor to your blog sees the ad for free coin catalogs, clicks on the link and you get paid for that click. Easy money!

Now you’re making money online by blogging.

Getting Started With Google AdWords - A Beginners Guide To Internet Marketing

With the internet growing at a phenomenal rate and online business booming many people are making good money with online businesses. However growing your business online can seem like a minefield of technical jargon where there seems to be no clear answer to how to market your product or services to the masses. Through all this there is one beacon of hope; GOOGLE. Google controls about 80% of the internet market and through Google you can get your business out there with Google AdWords. Getting started with Google AdWords can be the hardest part but when it works the increase to your business will be amazing so follow these few tips.

The first step of course it to sign up to Google AdWords and set your billing information. You can only get started once you provide credit card details for them to charge you for their services. Do not worry, you will only pay for clicks that Google will get for you it is a fair exchange and you can stop your campaigns anytime you want if it is becoming expensive.

Create your first campaign
This involves a few steps.

  • You must choose the language and the regions you want to target. This is important if you are running local campaigns or want to market to a worldwide audience. It also means you can target places in the world with enough money to buy what you are marketing if they actually click on the link!
  • You must then choose a title, this needs to attract people’s eyes and be related to what you want to promote. IT is also good if these words are “keyword rich” which means they are terms searched for often in Google that people want to know about.
  • Keywords are next and this is extremely important to get right. You keywords change how you bid and where your ad is seen. More general keywords may reach a wider audience but will have more competition while more specific keywords may not be searched as much but your ad could be front and center when they do. You can run different campaigns to target specific and general keywords if you want so you can change you’re bidding amount for each.
  • Then you have two lines to add more text, this is a very limited space that you must use to get the point of your product across and make them want to click on it. Focus on what the person you are marketing to desires and play on that wish.
  • After this you have your website you can add which is all important to get your potential customers to you.
  • Now we get to the money part of all of this, risk vs. reward and so on. You can set here the maximum money you want to spend each day so that you will not overspend which is very handy to start with and then you must place a bid
  • The bid is very important, the higher it I the more impressions and the better placement your ads will get. However you must also be wary that if you overbid you could be paying too much for limited returns so a balancing act must ensue. It is often best to pick a small amount first and test the waters then increase it bit at a time and see if the benefits are better than the detriments.

That is pretty much it to start with, confirm this and Google will start marketing it for you and giving you results as you go so you can track performance. The real meat of AdWords is optimizing your performance by tweaking you settings, trying new keywords or titles and bids. The last piece of advice I can give to beginners is do not give up! be prepared to lose a bit of money to learn something and find what works best. If you persist and keep your wits about you internet marketing will open up and you will be selling with ease online and making money!
